ROXBORO, NC (WTVD) – This is something many people will never get the chance to say: I lived to see 19 US presidents. But one of those who can say that, Ms. Beulah Rogers, just celebrated her 104th birthday.
ABC11 was able to attend a party for Rogers on Jan. 12 at the Canterbury House in Roxboro.
Woodrow Wilson was in office when she was born in 1919.
If this year sounds familiar, it was the same year that the Treaty of Versailles was signed, marking the end of the First World War.
So what is the secret to a life well lived? Rogers has a few pointers.
“There’s always someone who likes you and there’s always someone who doesn’t like you. But do unto others as you would have them do unto you, whether they like you or not,” she said.
Rogers told ABC11 that she just gave up driving two years ago at the age of 102!
