The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating a Sunday shooting that left a teenager dead and another person injured.
Police said shortly before 4:30 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to HV Brown Park after a report that a person had been shot.
Once on scene, officers found a 14-year-old boy with multiple gunshot wounds; Wayne County EMS pronounced the teenager dead at the scene.
Police said while officers were at the scene, other officers were alerted to a man on Olivia Lane who had been shot.
Police said officers found Tarkek Lamar Garner, 22, with multiple gunshot wounds on Olivia Lane; He was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Police said they believe the two shootings are related and an isolated incident.
