AGE. YOU KNOW BOWLING IS SUCH A GOOD ACTIVITY WHEN IT’S COLD OUTSIDE. YES. SO YOU CAN TAKE THESE STEPS, WALK UP AND DOWN. YOU MAY WANT TO DO THIS ON WEDNESDAY. YES, ABSOLUTELY. THIS WEEK. COOL. AND THEN RAIN GOES ON WEDNESDAY. FOR SOME THESE WILL BE SEVERE STORMS AND EVEN POTENTIALLY SEVERE STORMS WITH VERY HIGH RAIN AMOUNTS AS WELL. RIGHT NOW THE ONLY THING OURS HAPPENS IN OUR FORECAST AREA IS SEVERAL SNOW FALLS ALL AROUND THE REGION. SO OF COURSE WE’VE TALKED ABOUT THIS WINTER WEATHER STATEMENT EARLIER AND NOW YOU’LL SEE WE’VE GOT SOME OF THESE STORMS GETTING DOWN AND BY THE TIME THE STORAGE ACTIVITY ENDS AT 4:00 PM TONIGHT WE CAN STILL SEE A TOTAL SOME SHOULDERS. WE ARE WATCHING THAT VERY CAREFULLY THERE. THEY ARE ALSO VERY STRONG WINDS. THIS IS THE OTHER SIDE OF THEIR WINTER WEATHER INFORMATION. THEREFORE, THE SNOW CAN BLOW QUITE AGGRESSIVELY. WIND GUSTS ARE 40 TO 50 MPH IN THE MOUNTAINS NOW. SO VERY, VERY WINDY, VERY GUSTY. ELSEWHERE IN OUR FORECAST WINDS ARE ALSO QUITE STRONG, INCLUDING 21 MPH WIND SPEEDS IN GREENSBORO. SOMETIMES IT’S WINDY AND ALSO QUITE COLD. TEMPERATURES IN THE 40S TO 50S IN MALEBA AND REIDSVILLE, THE WARMEST WE HAVE HAD AT THIS POINT, 46 DEGREES IN GREENSBORO. BUT I BET WITH 21 MPH WINDS, OUR WIND RATING IS IN THE TOP THIRTYS AS WE GO THROUGH THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS. WE ARE REALLY NOT SEEING A TEMPERATURE INCREASE WITH THESE WINDS. HOLD ON. SO I EXPECT IT TO FEEL PRETTY COOL ALL DAY STRAIGHT THROUGHOUT TODAY. AND THEN AN OVERNIGHT CLEARING MEANS AN EVEN COLD MORNING TOMORROW AS WE LOOK AT THE FOOTHILLS. WINDS GUSTING UP TO 35 MPH SO PRETTY BRY. TEMPERATURES IN THE MID FORTIES AND A COLD MORNING TOO, STARTING OUT BELOW THE NECESSARY COOLANT THROUGHOUT OUR FORECAST RANGE. WE GO TO THE MOUNTAINS ON TUESDAY MORNING, 12 HOUR FORECAST WE HAVE THOSE WINDS UP TO 40 MPH. WE ALSO HAVE, OF COURSE, THE POSSIBILITY OF ADDITIONAL AMOUNTS OF SNOW. TEMPERATURES WILL ONLY REACH THE MID 30’S SO WE WILL FEEL LIKE TEENAGERS FOR MOST OF THE DAY. PRACTICALLY ALL DAY AND THEN GETTING VERY COLD AGAIN OVERNIGHT. CHECK OUT OUR HOURLY FORECAST HERE. THINGS ARE GOING TO DRY OUT QUICKLY AS WE GO OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS BY THE TIME WE’RE HEADING TOWARDS THE END OF THAT WINTER WEATHER OVERHEAD AND EVENING IN THE MOUNTAINS. AFTER THAT, WE’LL SEE A FEW WINDS ON HIGH AND ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH TUESDAY. WEDNESDAY, HOWEVER, WILL BE OUR NEXT MEETING. EVEN AT MIDNIGHT BY WEDNESDAY, VISIBILITY WAS INSPIRED. AND THEN WHEN YOU WAKE UP WEDNESDAY MORNING AND STEP OUT THE DOOR, HEAVY RAIN IS POSSIBLE ACROSS THE AREA. I THINK THIS COULD BE THE CHALLENGE FOR THAT WEDNESDAY MORNING JOURNEY. IT’S GOING TO BE OFF FOR SOME OF US, REALLY UNTIL THE MORNING. AND THEN BY NOON WE WILL START TO SEE PARTS OF THE RAIN LIGHTEN. HOWEVER, SOME OF THESE RAIN SYSTEMS LATE IN THE DAY, WELL THEY CAN BE STORMS AND EVEN POTENTIALLY SEVERE TO SEVERE STORMS WILL DRY UP BY THURSDAY. BUT CHECK OUT OUR STORM FORECAST CENTER. RISK OF SEVERE STORMS ON WEDNESDAY. YOU CAN SEE THAT THE SOUTHEAST PORTION OF OUR FORECAST IS UNDER AN EXTREME THREAT FOR THE SOIL MOUNTAINS AT THIS POINT, STORAGE WINDS COULD BE THE BIGGEST THREAT THERE. BUT ALSO LOOK AT THESE RAINFALL OVERALLS. WE ARE LOOKING FOR MORE THAN A DAY OF RAIN POSSIBLE ALL DAY AND DAY. AND MOST OF IT COMES IN THE MORNING. SO YOU’LL DEFINITELY WANT TO BE CAREFUL ON THESE ROADS WEDNESDAY MORNING. YESTERDAY WE HAD SOME SUPER WETTING WHICH CAUSED TROUBLE ON THE ROADS. WE CAN SEE IT AGAIN ON YOUR WEDNESDAY. HERE’S A LOOK AT THE SEVEN DAY FORECAST. IT’S COLD EVERYWHERE TOO. THIS IS COOL. TEMPERATURE FOR THE WEEKEND. SO A LITTLE BELOW NORMAL MOST DAYS.
