CHARLOTTE, NC (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A federal jury found a Gastonia man guilty of drug distribution after a three-day trial Thursday.

Gastonia police and the FBI charged Kenter O’Neil Ruff, 43, with drug distribution. Ruff was already under federal supervision for a prior drug conviction.

According to documents filed in court, evidence presented at trial and witness statements, during the course of an investigation into drug trafficking in Gaston County, law enforcement identified Raff as a local drug dealer.

According to authorities, between October 2020 and April 2021, Raff sold a base of cocaine to a person who cooperated with law enforcement. At the time, Ruff was on probation for a prior federal drug conviction and had additional state drug trafficking and possession convictions.

A federal jury found Raff guilty of four counts of distribution of cocaine. Raff remains in custody and his sentencing date is still unknown.
