FAYETTEVILLE, NC — A man was shot Saturday night in the Fayetteville area.
Around 9:10 p.m., officers from the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to the 300 block of Coode Street after a report of a shooting.
Arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers found a man with bodily injuries. He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The identity of the victim is currently unknown.
An investigation is now underway. Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.
A woman was shot to death Saturday night in Fayetteville around 9:30 p.m. within about 15 minutes. Police have not linked the shootings.
