WADE, NC — The entire stretch of Interstate 95 was closed Monday afternoon and may not reopen until after the evening commute.
All southbound lanes of I-95 were closed until 2 p.m. near Exit 61 at Wade-Stedman Road. The North Carolina Department of Transportation estimated that all lanes could not reopen until 7 p.m
Drivers should avoid the area. Sky 5 was on its way.
As a detour, southbound drivers will need to:
- Continue on Wade-Stedman Road
- Turn left onto US Highway 301 South
- Turn left onto Murphy Road
- Turn right to return to I-95
All directions of I-95 are closed near Fayetteville, and lanes may not reopen for several hours
