HBO MAX: Everything you need to know

The latest streaming service is this HBO MAX. Which is really just an upgraded version of the streaming service that has been around for many years.

Basically, HBO MAX takes everything that is in HBO and everything that is under the auspices of WarnerMedia, and puts it in one streaming service for the same price as regular HBO. Which in itself makes it very big.

HBO MAX was launched on May 27 at a price of $ 14.99 per month.

What is HBO MAX?

As mentioned, HBO MAX is about new service from AT&T, which combines all of HBO’s originals with the entire WarnerMedia library. You may be surprised at how much WarnerMedia content has behind it.

It came as a result of Time Warner’s acquisition of AT&T a couple of years ago. And to combine all this into one service makes a lot of sense. So you get the entire DC collection as well as other popular TV shows that like WarnerMedia The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and The big bang theoryto name a couple. It also has everything from the libraries of TBS, TNT, CNN, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, selected shows from Turner Classic Movies and more.

AT&T is also releasing a lot of originals, although some have been suspended due to a pandemic that has been filming for several months. Like Friends Reunion, which was supposed to be available at launch, but no.

What is the difference between HBO MAX and HBO GO / NOW?

The biggest difference here is the addition of WarnerMedia content. HBO GO / NOW only has HBO content, so you miss a bunch of movies and TV shows created by WarnerMedia.

HBO MAX is, frankly, better than HBO GO and HBO NOW because you get a lot more content for the same price. So one may wonder why HBO GO and HBO NOW still exist. Well, we don’t have an answer to that, but we expect AT&T to gradually abandon them at some point and stick to HBO MAX only. Because that’s what AT&T wants you to enjoy anyway.

It should be noted that if you sign up for HBO MAX through your cable provider, as in regular HBO, you will only be able to access HBO content through their platform. You will still need to download application to access all the content that is available there.

Also, if you already have HBO NOW, you will see the program update to HBO MAX. And you’re done, you automatically switch to a new service. If you do not, you will need to unsubscribe from HBO NOW and then subscribe to HBO MAX. It’s confusing, but now it’s true.

What originals can you see?

HBO MAX was launched with a number of originals. These include Crafttopia, Legendary, Love Life, Looney Tunes, cartoons, The show is not too late with Elmo and On the record.

There are other originals that will appear during 2020, although the pandemic may have caused some to be postponed as filming was stopped around the world for several months while everyone was quarantined.

These include Flight attendant, Meeting friendsnew season Search group, I’m waiting for Amy, Raised by wolves and more.

Many more originals will also appear in the future. Because AT&T is investing quite a bit of money in HBO MAX and its original content to keep users on board.

Will the movies be available on HBO Max the same day they hit theaters?

HBO Max announced in December 2020 that all Warner Brothers movies released in theaters in 2021 will be available on HBO Max on the same day. Again, no extra charge. And you can’t watch these movies with a free trial.

This seems like a temporary thing for HBO Max, as the pandemic forces most people to stay home, not go to the theater and watch movies. But it could become a new standard if it proves popular enough.

The next films will be released in 2021, but WarnerMedia does not yet have a release date.

WarnerMedia has announced that it will broadcast 10 movies on HBO MAX on the same day as they hit theaters in 2022. However, these films have not yet been confirmed. It is unlikely that these will be all the films that WarnerMedia will open in 2022. WarnerMedia is also looking to reduce the time it takes to get to the cinema. This means that after leaving the cinemas, movies will get into streaming services much faster. What they have done in the past.

Can I watch HBO MAX on Snapchat?

How much is HBO MAX?

HBO MAX costs the same as regular HBO, which is $ 14.99 a month. And it makes it easy to switch from HBO to HBO MAX. Because you pay the same price for much more content.

It’s the same price everywhere, whether you’re signing up via HBO MAX or through a third party, such as a cable / TV provider, such as YouTube TV. There are no additional fees for non-payment directly through HBO MAX.

There is only one plan for HBO MAX, unlike Netflix. So you have no choice to go for a better resolution (anyway there is no 4K now). Also you have no choice to switch to more screens. HBO MAX gives everyone three simultaneous streams. Which along with other services. Disney + gives you four screens, and Netflix gives you one to four, depending on your plan.

Update: On June 2, 2021, WarnerMedia announced that it had released a cheaper version of HBO MAX, which is now supported by advertising. It costs $ 9.99 a month. These free HBO MAX offers range from one month to a year. So you unfortunately won’t get it for free, forever. But that’s enough to decide if you want to keep it. So here’s what.

How can I watch HBO MAX?

There are many ways you can watch HBO MAX right now. It is available almost everywhere.

There are a few more things that the service is currently lacking. Including 4K HDR and Dolby Vision. WarnerMedia says they are on the road map, so we should see them enter service soon. But it was not a priority to launch the service until May 27th.

Where is HBO MAX available?

AT&T is rapidly providing HBO MAX to all countries where HBO is now available. It is currently available in the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and many other countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. HBO MAX has not released full list yetunfortunately.

How is this different from many other AT&T streaming services?

AT&T has many streaming services. And we mean a lot.

Most companies have one, maybe two services, but AT&T had seven at one point. Now they have cleared some, but there are still quite a few. There are AT&T TV, AT&T TV NOW, AT&T Watch TV and now HBO MAX.

The first three are mostly TV services. AT&T TV is very similar to cable pay TV, but instead of cable TV it is done over the Internet. AT&T still offers a box for everyone – it’s based on Android TV. But it’s most similar to u-Verse television.

Then there is AT&T TV NOW, which is very similar in name and practice. Instead of needing an Android TV Box, you can broadcast on any device. It’s very similar to YouTube TV. And this is a replacement for DIRECTV NOW.

Then there’s AT&T Watch TV, which is a lean package, it costs just $ 15 a month for 35 live channels. And it comes free with many AT&T wireless plans.

HBO MAX is not so much a live broadcast service as a streaming television service. This is a service where you can overflow with a variety of content.
