CHARLOTTE — Hundreds gathered in downtown Charlotte Saturday to show the world that they haven’t forgotten Shankella Robinson. City and county leaders, local artists and community members came to Little Rock AME Zion Church in Charlotte for a rally of justice in her memory.
People prayed and shared touching memories of Robinson. Her family continues to demand arrests in the case, but so far no one has been taken into custody.
Last month, the Baja California Sur prosecutor’s office confirmed it had issued an arrest warrant for the 25-year-old.
The prosecutor’s office indicated that an arrest warrant was issued for one of Robinson’s friends. The report also said Robinson’s death was not an accident. It says that she was deliberately attacked.
Robinson’s family told WCCB News they continue to wait for justice.
