CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – When we celebrate Black History Month, it’s time to think. QCN wanted to know what it was like to be a black man in 2022.
So we headed to a place where black people are known to express their opinions – barbershops. Eight black men gathered in Charlotte to give you a lens in their lives.
Topics are difficult – sometimes the conversation was hot. The true stories of this group of strangers were informative.
“I think the Black House needs to be restorative, and what does it look like? Not only to regain what was lost, but also to redefine it, to rebuild, including realizing the need to talk to someone about things that affect you in the house that you may not be able to talk about while you’re there, ”Justin Wade Said a senior at Livingston College.
QCN special talk – what it’s like to be a black man in 2022, comes out Monday at 10:30 p.m.
