This classic Xbox Game Studios may never work on Steam Deck

Microsoft has clarified which of its Xbox Game Studios games will play well with the new Valve Stream Deck hardware … and which will not.

The company has released a list of eight games that have been tested for play on the new portable slot machine, including instant classics like Psychonauts 2 and Deathloop. Six more games that can be played but not fully optimized. Among them is an arcade racer Forza Horizon 5. Maybe at some point they may be upgraded to Verified.

The news, however, isn’t very good: four well-known games are listed as unsupported, including Microsoft Flight Simulator and Halo Infinite. This is due to existing anti-cheat systems that raise questions about whether support will come in the future.

Microsoft says that studios under the banner of Xbox Games Studios will continue to work on the integration of PC games, but on its own page.

“We at XGS love games and think that people should be able to play our games as freely and easily as possible – anytime, anywhere, sharing incredible experiences with friends or embarking on solo adventures,” Microsoft writes. on Steam site.

“It depends on our studios how they incorporate Steam Deck integration into their games into their busy schedules, and with lots of great things already working, some titles can take longer. We have compiled this list so you can see how our names are going. ”
