RALEIGH, NC — The voting has begun and it’s time to find out who won The 2022 WRAL Voters’ Choice Awards are presented by M&F Bank. The awards will be announced on January 12, 2023. This is part of a series dedicated to the categories that received the most votes.

It’s hard to find bad ice cream – but when it’s good, it’s very good! These were your top five picks for the 2022 WRAL Voters Choice Awards.

Homemade Andia ice cream

Andia is a multiple-time winner of the Voters’ Choice Award for Best Ice Cream! Since opening their first Cary location in 2017, they’ve opened a second Cary store and just announced plans to open their first Raleigh location in the Iron Works mixed-use building. Andia’s is also known for its unique ice cream flavors (like lemon basil sorbet and baklava), as well as ice cream (like warm donut ice cream) and giant milkshakes!

Two roosters also known for creative ice cream flavors such as margarita, blackberry hibiscus and butterscotch. Of course, their classic flavors are amazing too! This multi-time winner of the Voters’ Choice Award for Best Ice Cream continues to grow, with a Wake Forest location planned for next.

Previously, this North Carolina State University ice cream was only available once a year at the North Carolina State Fair. Now you can buy their ice cream in the freezer section of some grocery stores and you can enjoy the ice cream in their store, Educational center and butter factory “Vaya Korova”. The menu here includes sundaes, banana splits, ice creams, specialty coffees, lattes, cappuccinos, milkshakes and milkshakes.

Rally Rolls

With his first place at Morgan Street Food Hall in downtown Raleigh, watching this twisted ice cream being made is just as fun as eating it! We are fans of “Grandma’s Nanner Puddin'” and anything served in a waffle taco.
