Longtime sports reporter and ABC11 presenter Joe Mazur is leaving the station this month after more than a 20-year stay.

Rob Elmar, president and general manager of the radio station, told The News & Observer that Mazur is joining his wife in Atlanta, where she has taken a new position. The last day of Mazur will come at the end of next week.

Elmar said the station is currently looking to replace Mazur and the reporter Tim Puliam, who announced this week that he is leaving for work in a report at ABC7 in Los Angeles.

Mazur joined WTVD in 2001, coming from KFOX to El Paso, Texas, where he was athletic director and presenter. He also worked at KJCT in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Mazur is a native of Colorado and a graduate of the University of Colorado.
