A deer “running wild” after getting its head stuck in a bucket. “It was obvious he was in a lot of trouble and we wanted to make sure he didn’t hurt anyone or get into traffic,” McHugh said. “And he was crashing into trees and poles and being generally stupid.” During the meeting, caught on camera, deer can be seen limping around as neighbors gather. and completely blind,” McHugh said. “Jumping around because he couldn’t see … and thought he was in the dark. It was like a zombie movie, it was really scary.” Finally, McHugh got close enough to wrestle the bucket out when the deer rushed at him. “All I could think to do was try to get the bucket off his head,” said McHugh. ‘And I did.’ Kevin can now look back on the memory with a bit of humor. ‘Yeah, if the deer could ‘loose’ on me a bit more, that would be nice,” he said, laughing. ” Or at least give me a doe, that would be great.” However, McHugh also realizes that the situation could have turned out much differently. “It was one of the dumbest things I’ve ever done,” he said. he said. “There was a chance he was mad and would have attacked whoever he saw first. But at that point I didn’t care because he had a bucket on his head and that’s pretty stupid.” Nobody knows , how long the bucket was on the deer’s head, but it was clearly a happy ending for everyone. “I just wanted to get back to work and make sure everyone was safe,” Mach said yu. “So I guess it all worked out in the end.”

One Winston-Salem man is now being “fawned over” by neighbors after he helped remove a bucket from a deer’s head when it was clearly stuck and in distress.

“It was horrible,” said Kevin McHugh, who came to help. “If I didn’t have adrenaline all the time, I’d probably be running away from the deer instead of going to the deer.”

It was a meeting caught on camera. A deer “running wild” after getting its head stuck in a bucket.

“It was obvious he was in a lot of trouble and we wanted to make sure he didn’t hurt anyone or get stuck in traffic,” McHugh said. “And it was banging against trees and poles and generally stupid.”

During the meeting, caught on camera, you can see deer limping around as neighbors gather.

“He was just running for his life — crashing into everything in front of him and going completely blind,” McHugh said. “I was jumping because I couldn’t see and I thought I was in the dark. It was like a zombie movie, it was really terrifying.”

McHugh finally got close enough to wrestle the bucket out as the deer charged toward him.

“The only thing I was thinking of doing was trying to get the bucket off his head,” McHugh said. – And I succeeded.

Kevin can now look back on the memory with a touch of humor.

“Yeah, if the deer could ‘paw’ me a little more, that would be nice,” he said, laughing. “Or at least give me a ‘doe’, that would be great.”

However, McHugh also understands that the situation could have turned out very differently.

“It was one of the dumbest things I’ve ever done,” he said. “There was a chance he was mad and would attack whoever he saw first. But at that point I didn’t care because he had a bucket on his head and it’s pretty silly.”

No one knows how long the bucket sat on the deer’s head, but it was clearly a happy ending for everyone.

“I just wanted to get back to work and make sure everyone was safe,” McHugh said. “So I guess it all worked out in the end.”
