BFGG and AgencyGMR have acquired Videogamer.com, including its international businesses it.videogamer.com and pt.videogamer.com.
The deal, which also includes Videogamer.com’s social channels on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and more, will help BFGG build on its gaming offerings in technology and hardware. This further strengthens the strategic agreements that AgencyGMR has in place with its key gaming media publishers such as Gfinity PLC and Gamurs Group, adding to the cumulative reach of the combined web and social properties.
The acquisition will add even more inventory to the partnership, which currently sees participating media companies leverage websites, social and influencer channels, as well as production capabilities for sponsored content and marketing campaigns.
Craig Kirkcaldy, Chief Operating Officer of BFGG, said: “It is very exciting to welcome the Videogamer brand to BFGG. It’s been a respected place for games journalism for years, and it’s vital that we build on those foundations as it enters a new era. “The acquisition adds real value to key strategic partnerships, giving all parties access to larger audiences online and across social channels – ultimately improving our collective ability to drive value for customers.
