The The FOX-ification of the LIV Tour continued on Tuesday evening as Tucker Carlson interviewed with Bryson DeChambeau which was recorded at Donald Trump’s Bedminster over the weekend. Bryson seemed optimistic that the PGA would eventually reach an agreement with the LIV players, and gave the analogy of a pizzeria that doesn’t really show a good understanding of the pizza industry.

“It’s so amazing because it’s like — let’s use that as a benchmark. I heard it earlier this week. You have a pizza place that’s been around for 50 years. And all the customers go to it, and it’s a great product. All of a sudden it’s opening new pizzeria, right? And they start paying customers to come eat at them, and that pizza is potentially a little better than pizza, right? And all of a sudden, that original pizzeria is going, if you go there, we won’t let you come back to our pizzeria. What’s wrong with this business model?”

Honestly, a pizzeria that pays customers sounds great…and I think I’ve figured out the problem with this business model. No one pays for pizza!

The question Bryson and the other LIV golfers must answer is: How do you get fans to watch them eat this new pizza? For almost a hundred years, fans have cared about who eats the Masters pizza. US Open pizza has been around since 1895. Who wants to watch four people eat pizza that no one has ever heard of? Eventually, this pizzeria will stop paying customers if people don’t watch them eat.
