Mark Castro, Aron Aponte and Anthony Herrera all will take the final steps in their professional journeys on the biggest stage of all as they complete the undercard of a trilogy clash between SaulCanelaAlvarez and GennadiusYYYYGolovkin. The event, presented by Matchroom, Canelo Promotions and GGG Promotions, will be broadcast live on DAZN Pay-per-view in the US and Canada and worldwide on DAZN (except Mexico, Latin America and Kazakhstan).

Castro (7-0 5 KOs) is appearing on his fifth Canelo undercard since his debut in December 2020, and the former amateur standout will face Kevin Montiel Mendoza in his first eight-round fight. Castro is coming through the ropes for the third time this year with a pair of points won in six rounds and will be tested by Mexico’s Mendoza (6-1-2 3 KOs), who has a split draw with Ota Jones III on his resume.
Aponte (6-0 2 KOs) will also face them for a third time in 2022, and the “King of Aliens” is set to face Canelo Promotions’ undefeated prospect Fernando Molina. Aponte, who signed a promotional contract with Eddie Hearn in January, will be looking for a seventh win in the paid ranks in his first eight-round meeting with Molina (8-0 3 KOs), a 20-year-old Mexican who also has a pair of wins over six in this year.
Herrera (2-0-1 2 KOs) gets a chance to get back to winning ways on the biggest stage against Delvin McKinley. Herrera drew in his last match in Mexico against the buoyant Kenin Valenzuela, and Manny Robles’ trained talent is desperate to get back on track in Sin City. However, McKinley (4-3-1 4 KOs) will have other ideas and the 26-year-old enters the fight after defeating Olympic bronze medalist Nick Hernandez earlier this month.
A trio of talents round out the September 17 undercard, headlined by one of the main fights starring the featherweight sensation. Jesse Rodriguez defending the WBC world title vs Israel Gonzalez.
Fireworks are promised Ali Akhmedov and Gabriel Rosado will fight for the IBF North American super middleweight title, Diego Pacheco is fighting for his first professional belt when he meets Enrique Cagliano for the WBC USNBC Silver super middleweight title and Austin “Ammo” Williams taking on Kieran Conway for the vacant WBA middleweight world title, all leading up to the third installment of the classic modern rivalry between Canelo and Golovkin, which will see the Mexican king put his undisputed super-middleweight crown on the line against the reigning Kazakh WBA middleweight champion and the IBF in the most anticipated match of 2022.
