Charged EVs | NI is releasing new battery system analysis software for EV

N.I. (before National instruments) has released its latest Battery Testing System (BTS) and introduced a new product line for analysis software – both of which are designed to link data in the process.

BTS is designed for design and test teams of first-tier suppliers and automakers who face challenges when regularly upgrading and adapting to changing test requirements. Connected to BTS software, it connects data in the battery testing workflow so that design and testing teams can coordinate with each other requests, configurations, monitoring, reports and test results. BTS can also be customized for a number of test needs and integrated with power electronics, environmental cameras and test channels.

NI’s new DataStudio is a product line for analysis software that links data from design to testing in a semiconductor workflow. The DataStudio Specification Compliance Manager (SCM) application manages device specifications, connects to measurement sources, and automatically generates compliance reports. The company says: “DataStudio SCM provides a complete picture of the device’s compliance with the target specifications, allowing better decision-making and reporting, and uses data that is often lost during design, verification and production testing.”

The company is also launching a DataStudio Bench Data Connector (BDC) data validation library. Compatibility between BDC and SCM allows you to import measurement data from a library in a compliance report managed by SCM.

“With today’s simulators, it’s hard to say what the problem is with semiconductor prototypes if they don’t meet all the specifications,” said Rita Favre, vice president and general manager of the semiconductor and electronics division at NI. “Is this a defective part? Was there something wrong with the production process? Is this a fundamental flaw in the design? To debug this, engineers have to work with different forces, using different tools from different vendors with different data sets. We are breaking down these barriers. “
