Denver Broncos fantasy football tips for the 2022 season

It’s football season, which means it’s time for your fantasy football checkers. Time to take a look at the Denver Broncos roster and see who will help you dominate

August is upon us and football is quickly approaching, which means it’s time for your fantasy football drafts.

For the past few seasons, it’s been best to avoid the Denver Broncos on your rosters because the offense hasn’t produced points in either real life or fantasy. However, the arrival of Russell Wilson changed all that.

Wilson not only brought excitement to the Mile High City, but also to the fantasy Denver Broncos. The Broncos’ wide receivers are suddenly a top priority on draft day, and the running backs need to have even more success than an already prolific 2021 season.

All in all, the Broncos look like important contributors to fantasy championship wins.

I will break down each fantasy relevant player and their value based on where they are drafted.

As a member of the fantasy football community and Broncos Country, it is my pleasure to help you win championships.

Denver Broncos Fantasy Football Preview: Quarterback

Russell Wilson

Average draft position – 8th round

Average QB rating is QB 9

The Denver Broncos haven’t had a fantasy-relevant quarterback since 2014, when Peyton Manning threw 39 touchdowns.

Since then, having the Broncos quarterback on your roster has not been a good idea. Russell Wilson is here to change that mindset.

In his first 10 seasons, Wilson was a top-12 fantasy quarterback in every year except one (dealing with a finger injury last year).

He has finished in the top three in four of those years, taking first place in 2017. With Wilson, you are almost guaranteed a top 10 finish.

His consistency, Nathaniel Hackett’s willingness to let him lead the offense and a strong group of weapons around him make the top three ceiling once again.

As long as he goes relatively late, Wilson has tremendous value for you in your drafts. You won’t have to spend one of those premium picks like you would on guys like Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert, but you’ll get a very similar upside.

As long as you’re not drafting with a ton of Broncos fans, getting him in the eighth round seems not only likely, but reasonable. Build your running backs and wide receivers first and still be reliable in Russ.
