HIGH POINT, NC — Three juveniles and two adults were found dead Saturday morning in a North Carolina home in what police are investigating as a murder-suicide.

Officers responded to a call around 7 a.m. reporting “two people screaming for help” from a High Point home, according to a High Point police news release.

Upon arrival, officers encountered two adults who were asking for help and “were forced to enter the home,” according to the release.

“After getting inside, they found five dead people,” the police said. “Of the five victims, three were minors and two were adults. All victims were pronounced dead at the scene.”

HPPD alleges that Robert J. Creighton Jr. shot and killed his wife and three children. He then died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The victims have been identified as:

Athalia A. Creighton (46)

Cassin Creighton (18)

Young 1 (16)

Minors 2 (10)

High Point Police said the investigation is ongoing and there is no indication of a threat to the community at this time.

In Utah, A family of eight was found shot to death in their Enoch home on Wednesday According to police, there was also a murder-suicide. 42-year-old Michael Hait is suspected of killing himself, as well as his wife, mother-in-law and five children.
