NC Sen. Jeff Jackson will seriously consider running for Congress from a county that includes much of Mecklenburg County.

State Senator Jeff Jackson, who dropped out participation in the U.S. Senate election earlier this year will seriously consider running for Congress in the new 14th constituency.

This area will include most of the southern district of Mecklenburg and runs west in the county of Gaston.

Although he had previously told reporters he would not consider running for Congress, Jackson said new election cards drawn up this week by a panel of three judges paved the way for him.

He said the main objection to the congressional candidate was not to oppose U.S. envoy Alma Adams. Now there is a safe democratic area that will not conflict with it.

On Thursday morning, he told the Observer about his possible plan to run in the election, and later told his followers on Twitter: “Yesterday I got a lot of phone calls, so the situation is this: . Senate County. I really appreciate all the encouragement to run. Marysya and I are talking. Soon more.

This is a story that is evolving and will be updated.
