Madden 23 Goes Hard Soundtrack

Madden is a video game that can be very disappointing, but it remains the best and only football sim on the market, so we’ll all keep buying it. One area where the franchise hasn’t diminished over the years is the quality of the soundtracks that accompany the game. This is, of course, a subjective view. Some may still prefer mid-level Madden games that prominently feature punk rock over the modern iterations that heavily favor rap. But the soundtrack is obviously carefully selected and rarely causes much complaint.

Madden NFL 23 will launch later this week to the general public, but the soundtrack has already been taken down. And this is going. You can check the full list of songs hereand there’s a Spotify playlist of 19 of the 39 tunes chosen to accompany this year’s game.

In this humble writer’s opinion, the two best inclusions are Kendrick Lamar’s “N95” and Nigga’s “Let’s Go” featuring Tyler, the Creator. “N95” sounds like it was made for the soundtrack of a sports game and will no doubt make an appearance in the next NBA 2K game as well.

There are many great titles in the game. Joey Bada$$, Killer Mike with BJ The Chicago Kid, Benny The Butcher, Big KRIT All songs are bops to some degree. Madden may not be a perfect game, but damn if the creators don’t know how to choose good songs!
