PD Gibsonville is involved in a disaster near the University of Ilona

ELON, NC (WGHP) – A Gibsonville police car reportedly hit a woman’s car near the Elon University campus on Friday, Elon police said.

The crash happened nearby Fat Frog on West Haggard Avenue.

A woman whose car was hit by an officer claims she was on Elon’s campus to watch her son play tennis as the officer turned left onto West Haggard Avenue. according to the Elon News Network.

According to Assistant Police Chief Elon Lyle Anibal, both the woman and the officer were slightly injured in the crash.

Because a police officer was involved in the crash, a North Carolina road patrol will conduct an investigation to avoid a conflict of interest.
