Ralph Ranknik argued that Manchester United new players are needed this summer in all areas of the field except one department,

The interim manager of United made his remarks after his team’s victory over Brantford on Monday night with a score of 3: 0.

The goals of Bruno Fernandez, Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane helped the “red devils” get a comfortable victory over the “Bees” in the last game, which took place at the “Old Trafford” this season.

New manager Eric ten Haag is due to undergo a major overhaul of the playing team during the transfer window, but Rangnik is confident he will not need a new addition between positions.

“Apart from the gate, where we have three great goalkeepers: Tom Heaton, Dean Henderson and David de Gea, in all other areas, the club is leaving players,” said Rangnik. Sky Sports.

“I would not focus on special parts of the field – it should go through the whole team.

“Obviously quite a few players are leaving and there is a need for top quality players. I firmly believe that if everyone works together, we can get Manchester United back to where we need to be.

Other clubs only needed two or three transfer windows to challenge, but from now on we need to attract top quality players who really help raise the level. If that happens, I don’t think it should take too long. “

Although United have endured a tumultuous campaign and been extremely poor in defense, retaining just eight clean sheets in the Premier League, it would have been much worse had it not been for De Gea, whose 125 saves this season are superior. only Ilan Meslie of Leeds.

The 25-year-old Henderson has struggled for playing time this season, but is seen as De Gea’s long-term successor, following strong appearances for the club in the past as well as stellar seasons on loan at Sheffield United from 2018 to 2020.

But a number of outfielders are set to leave in the summer when their contract ends, namely Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata and Edinson Cavani, while Jesse Lingard, Paul Pogba and Phil Jones are also likely to leave when new manager Eric Ten Haag decides that they are part of his plans.

There is also speculation about the future of many other players, including Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford.
