The countdown continues as Land Rover announces plans to introduce it redesigned Range Rover Sport May 10 at 14:00 EST (19:00 BST).

The company keeps the details a secret, but said that “the most dynamic member of the Range Rover family has been revised, effortlessly combining a flawless presence, unrivaled on-road capabilities and the latest advanced digital and chassis technology.”

While it’s not much to continue, the teaser images suggest the model will have an evolutionary design with a streamlined body, contrasting top and slim headlights. Previous spy photos have also revealed that the Range Rover Sport will have a clearer front panel, flush door handles, and a lush rear end.

The exterior images aren’t very revealing, but Land Rover looked pretty good on the interior, which boasts a “dynamic driver-like cab position, architectural lightness and precise detailing”. The company has been modest in specifics, but the model is following suit Range Rover and adopts a floating infotainment system that is believed to be 13.1 inches in size.

Further down we can see a sloping center console with rotary knobs and a more classy switch. They are joined by a new steering wheel, thin vents and metal accents.

The engine options will likely be in conjunction with the Range Rover, which means we can expect a range of options including a 3.0-liter six-cylinder 395 hp. (295 kW / 400 hp) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. Customers should also be able to choose a 4.4-liter V8 with a twin-turbo that develops 523 hp. (390 kW / 530 hp) and 553 lb-ft (749 Nm) of torque. If that’s not enough, then soon Range Rover Sport SVR can scroll things up to 617 hp (460 kW / 625 hp). We can also expect hybrid options as well as diesel options in certain markets.

We’ll find out all the details next month, but Land Rover has hinted that the model “will continue the bold feats of its predecessors by taking on a unique challenge to launch”. This problem still needs to be clarified, but the video shows that the Range Rover Sport may be tasked with driving up steep running water. No matter what the company has up its sleeve, they noted what’s in the previous models ascended to the Heavenly Gate and set a record at Pike Peak.
