After several leaks, Sony has officially announced new LinkBuds. Which is the latest version of the company’s truly wireless headphones. However, these sports have a rather interesting design. Design 8 is shown. Sony says that with this new design it can create new sound experiences together with its partners, such as AR games. As well as new homework experiences, AR sound navigation and quick access to music.
These headphones are really more about other experiences than just listening to music and podcasts, hence the other design.
The unique open ring lets you hear the world around you whenever you want
Other Sony headphones are already on offer Surround soundwhich works very well. But these headphones take it to a whole new level. The open ring on Linkbuds allows you to hear the world around you whenever you want, without compromising on listening. It also uses a newly developed ring driver unit, and the center of the diaphragm is open for sound transparency. This allows you to clearly hear the sounds around you so you can always hear a phone call or a car approaching behind you.
Sony LinkBuds also works with Google’s Fast Pair feature. So just open the case and they will automatically appear on your smartphone for pairing.
They have an IPX4 rating, so they are great for workouts. They are resistant to water and sweat, but not resistant to water. Which is an important difference.
In terms of battery life, these headphones provide about 5.5 hours of a single charge. A headphone case will give you an extra 12 hours of playback. And if you need to charge in a hurry, a 10-minute charge will give you 90 minutes of play. These are pretty impressive headphones from Sony, but it will take some time to get used to the design, and it may not be for everyone.
