Suleiman Sisocha v. Fernando Valenzuela Jr.
Pechanga Arena, San Diego, California, USA – March 5, 2022
Suleiman Sisoho retained his intercontinental WBA super middleweight title in a huge performance against the Mexican Fernando Valenzuela Jr.., which he defeated by a unanimous decision this Saturday night at Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California.
The Frenchman, who was born in Senegal, got the numbers 100-90, 99-91 and 99-91 after a battle with a Mexican fighter in a very interesting battle.
Although he dominated almost every moment of the fight, Sisoho was forced to fight a rematch in the fourth round. Valenzuela, who always went ahead and tried to connect the champion, well connected the right hand at that moment, which sent the opponent to the canvas.
Sisoho got up and looked quite offended, so he started walking in the ring and hugging like a survival instinct. However, he gradually recovered and at the end of the same fourth chapter he surprised the right straight right and returned the fall to the Mexican to equalize.
The winner knew how to use the distance and the ring well to avoid Valenzuela. He hit well with his pockets and straight to dominate the final cards without much inconvenience.
It was the second defense of the regional crown for Sisoho, who remains undefeated in 15 fights, 9 of which were won by knockout. At the same time, Valenzuela went down to 23 wins, 3 setbacks and 19 knockouts.
