MORRISVILLE, NC (WTVD) – The driver of the SUV lost control and ended up in Crabtree Lake.
It happened in Morrisville off Aviation Parkway north of Dominion Drive around 10:45 a.m.
Chopper11 was able to capture a bird’s-eye view of the SUV, which can be seen on the rocks near the roadway.
The driver was traveling southbound when he lost control, struck a guardrail, went over an embankment and collided with a power pole before ending up in the water.
It is not known how the driver lost control and ended up in the water on Monday morning.
Aviation Parkway is currently closed between the Lake Crabtree Park entrance and Dominion Drive while the investigation is conducted.

It’s not known what caused the vehicle to lose control, but ABC11 was told the driver was rescued and uninjured.
