Just when it seemed like Ram couldn’t get any more extreme, he came out TRX Sandblast edition. Now Hennessey has taken one of those special trucks and turned it into the 1,000 horsepower Mammoth. In this film, the crew conducts some of the most visually pleasing testing we’ve ever heard of.

It’s not like the Ram 1500 TRX needed anything beyond what came from the factory. The supercharged V8 under the hood has 702 hp. (523 kW), and the Sandblast special edition adds unique trim, 18-inch beadlock wheels, and a panoramic sunroof. This is the most exclusive of all Ram extreme trucks.

Hennessey turned things up to 11, however, by giving the truck 1012 horsepower (754 kW) and 969 lb-ft (1,312 Nm) of torque. This is the result of Mammoth’s top-level campaign package. It has all the ancillary modifications you’ll need to make this kind of power for years to come, including high-flow fuel injectors, upgraded spark plugs, a heavy-duty supercharger belt, and more.

Hennessey even offers a two-year or 24,000-mile limited warranty along with a three-year or 36,000-mile powertrain warranty. Part of why the company is able to do this is because it runs validation tests like the one seen here. Of course, with a vehicle like the Mammoth, pavement testing won’t be enough.

Therefore, the crew spends only part of the time on the asphalt. However, they put those precious seconds to good use as they hit 110 mph (177 km/h) several times before heading off in search of dirt. Once there, it’s clear that the Mammoth is perfectly happy on any surface. In fact, this edition of the Mammoth Sandblast has additional off-road equipment.

This includes heavy-duty front and rear bumpers, auxiliary LED lighting, 20-inch wheels, all-terrain tires and alignment kit. Hennessey says a maximum of 200 will be produced, and each will receive an engine bay serial plate so owners know the order in which their Mammoth was built. Pricing has not been announced, but interested parties can contact Hennessey directly.
