This makes it a great game overall, but also a great game for Steam Deck. Because it may be the only game you own for laptops and still have something to play for days, weeks or even months. Depending on how fast you play the game.

In The Witcher 3 you continue your story as Geralt of Rivia, but in some parts of the game you will also be able to play for Cyrus. Tunic is a cool little indie role-playing game that is very similar to the old Legend Of Zelda games. With some interesting elements that give it a soulful style. Expect to get lost along the way, exploring dungeons and trying to solve puzzles that will allow you to advance further into the game and into new areas.

Expect problems and difficult bosses to come, which will surely give you hard times. But trust us when we say that if you follow this, you will enjoy the game. This is a beautiful hidden gem, which, although gaining popularity, no doubt goes unnoticed by many players.

Yakuza: Like a dragon

While the Yakuza Remastered Collection is definitely a number of games to pick up, the latest game in the series, Yakuza: Like A Dragon, is a game you shouldn’t miss either.

This last part tells the story of another protagonist throughout the game. Unlike the familiar and much-loved Kazuma Kira series. The game also doesn’t just change the protagonist.

The fight also takes a different turn and is less action-based than before. But still wildly fun and entertaining as always. As this game will have a new main character, it is also a good starting point for beginners of the Yakuza series.

Although, if you want to get the full feeling of a yakuza, you can want to start with one of the earlier games and invest in the history and world that Yakuza has to offer. This is definitely one of the best role-playing games on Steam Deck and one of our personal favorites.

Elden’s Ring

Elden Ring is the latest FromSoftware game from Bandai Namco. This means that if you are ready for a tough challenge, then this is the game for you. Those who liked previous FromSoftware games will also want to check it out if they haven’t already.

As in previous games, Elden Ring offers you many challenging battles with bosses, as well as powerful weapons and armor. Unlike those past games, the action of Elden Ring takes place in a massive open world. This means you can explore a lot more and this is encouraged. Because you never know what you might find. For many, it will easily become the game of 2022. And it would be deserved. After all, this is definitely one of the best PC games.

The Ascent is a brand new cyberpunk role-playing game just released this morning. You can buy it for $ 30, but it’s currently selling for $ 18 via Steam until April 25th. It is also available as part of the Xbox Game Pass and has just been launched for the PS5. It plays a bit like Diablo, as it’s an isometric role-playing game, but it also resembles a double-stick shooter.

In the game you play as an indent (a worker imprisoned in a corporation) on the planet Veles. You are specifically an indent for the Ascent group. The largest corporation in Veles. Suddenly the Ascent band stops and no one knows what’s going on. So begins your story, trying to figure out what happens when you try to survive at the same time. Meanwhile, everyone around is fighting for power.

You can purchase a lot of loot throughout the game, including a variety of weapons, equipment and more. There is also a character creator with several customization options. The best thing is that the game can be played alone or with friends through an online co-op or co-op on the couch.

Beautiful backgrounds, stunning graphics, super cool weapons and fights – all covered by the theme of cyberpunk. What do you dislike?

If you are new to the Tales franchise, then a wild trip awaits you. Tales Of Arise is the latest game in the series, which boasts RPG battles with a live cast. It’s a JRPG, so expect a lot of character development as well as a deep story that will have you on the edge of your chair all the way.

The most interesting thing in this game is that you can play for the whole cast of characters with rich stories. You choose who you want to start the game for, but you are free to move between other characters at any time during the battles. Having said that, the character you choose dictates some elements of the story later on. So there is a reasonable value of playback when going back and doing things with another character anew.

If you like JRPG, here’s everything about JRPG that you probably like. Also, the graphics are stylish and sometimes exciting.

Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition

Final Fantasy XV has certainly been met with negative criticism from new and old fans. But that doesn’t change the fact that it’s an amazing game that has a lot to do. And the Windows edition is the best version of it, because it contains all but one part of the DLC – Episode Ardyn.

It’s a pretty extensive open-world RPG with lots of quests and boss battles, lots of nostalgic Easter eggs and everything from challenging dungeons to chokab races. And honestly, $ 34.99 for all the content you get in this game is a great price. If you like JRPG and you don’t mind this game being based on combat, you’ll like Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition.

Fable Anniversary

If you grew up with Xbox or you had a friend who did, then you may remember playing Fable. Fable Anniversary is a reworked version of the original with many additional impressions that make the experience even better. With HD video and all the great times from the original, Fable Anniversary is the way you remember the Fable world. Where every decision you make has a potentially good or terrible reactionary outcome.

You can play as a hero or choose the evil path and become a terrible player. Both paths have their merits. But you need to figure out which one is right for you. Best of all, if you choose one path, you can go back and play the game again to choose another. And because of this the game will feel completely different.

There is even a way you can travel somewhere in the middle of good and evil if you like to go abroad. In addition, the Anniversary edition comes with a new Heroic difficulty setting.

Darksiders Genesis

Darksiders Genesis plays very similar to The Ascent, but also as a Darksiders game. Interestingly, you can finally play Strife, but you also team up with War. So you end up playing two of the four riders throughout the game. Much of what you get from other Darksiders games is here. Like the skills that can be upgraded, and the level research that other titles have.

But it can feel more different than just because of the camera angle. Rest assured. This is a Darksiders game throughout, and most fans of the series should love it.

Disco Elysium – Final Cut

Completing this list is Disco Elysium – The Final Cut, a very narrative RPG that is completely devoid of combat. There are still meetings, but you do not fight with anyone, as in any other RPG game.

Instead, you have events that you face that can be considered accomplished if you have the right skills and choose the right dialogue options. If this is not your cup of tea, we fully understand. But we believe you can do yourself a disservice without checking it out.

This is perhaps one RPG that no one should miss if you love the storyline aspects of role-playing games. Because there are a lot of stories here, and most, if not all, of this is a great story. Which makes it one of the best role-playing games on Steam Deck.
