The future queen fights for her kingdom in “Become Elizabeth”.

Elizabeth Tudor is largely remembered for her reign as Queen Elizabeth I. However, Elizabeth’s life before she claimed the crown was filled with the same intrigue and danger. New STARZ original series Becoming Elizabeth Alicia von Rietberg in the lead role is a young woman who has lost her father and her place in the kingdom. In the latest trailer of the series, Elizabeth’s world is turned upside down when her father dies and her brother is called king. And suddenly Elizabeth seemed to have no choice.

Of course, Elizabeth would not have become queen if she had simply decided to accept her fate. The trailer also hints at her growing conflict with her brother when she shows her will and refuses to just get married.

STARZ also published a synopsis of the series:

“Becoming Elizabeth the focus of the young Elizabeth Tudor (Alicia von Rietberg), an orphan teenager who is involved in the political and sexual policies of the English court on her way to the crown. The death of King Henry VIII begins a dangerous struggle for power. His surviving children are pawns in the game between the great families of England and the states of Europe, who are fighting for control of the country.

Ramola Garai also starred in the series as Mary Tudor, Jessica Raine as Catherine Parr, Tom Cullen as Thomas Seymour, Bella Ramsey as Lady Jane Gray, Jamie Parker as John Dudley, Oliver Zetterfern as VI the Duke of Somerset Jamie Blakely as Robert Dudley, Jacob Avery as Guilford Dudley, Alexandra Gilbrite as Kat Ashley, Leo Bill as Henry Gray, Eck Quarty as Pedro, Alex McQueen as Garry McGuinne as Garry as Steve and Robert Whitelock as Robert Catt.

Becoming Elizabeth The premiere will take place at STARZ on Sunday, June 12th.
