RALEIGH, NC (WNCN) – Wild turkey season may not start until April, but the NC Wildlife Resources Commission is helping you get ready.

Wildlife officials announce that the commission is hosting three turkey hunting webinars, and it’s free.

The webinars will cover a wide range of topics from biology, habits and habitat to effective arrow placement and hunting strategies.

The duration of the webinars will be one hour, officials said.

Officials shared that the webinars are a resource for those who have never hunted before and want to get started, but are open to all skill levels.

“The webinars are especially designed for those who have never hunted and don’t have access to a hunting instructor, although they are open to all skill levels,” said Hunting Coordinator Walter “Dit” James of the Wildlife Conservation Commission. “The webinar series will be completed over three consecutive evenings. Anyone wishing to attend all three webinars must register for each session separately.”

Three webinars will be held on February 7, 8 and 9 from 19:00 to 20:00.

And officials said that pre-registration is required and the number of places for the webinars is limited.
