While the Denver Broncos list is mostly scheduled for 2022, what are the three biggest issues for this team in the Russell Wilson era?
After a long last, Denver Broncos is going to put up a competitive team. Russell Wilson’s acquisition brought the team back to relevance. Trading for Wilson could be the biggest step any team has made in a very long time.
Ever since it happened, it has dominated the NFL landscape, and while the Broncos will be very good, they still have a few questions that need to be answered before the season or they will be answered.
The team’s list has talent from all sides of the ball and is deep enough on many positions.
George Peyton, even after making a huge exchange for Wilson’s “DangeRuss”, still has a ton of draft capital to further improve the team’s roster ahead of a very important season.
But, again, the list and the team as a whole, including the coaching staff, have a few questions that will need to be answered at some point.
What are the most pressing issues for the Denver Broncos that are heading into the key 2022 season?
Three hot questions in 2022 for the Denver Broncos
1. Who will be the right selection?
Denver Broncos seemed to be counting on Ja’Woo James in 2021 before he tore up his Achilles. The team then turned to longtime vet Bobby Messi to take a seat in 2021.
Messi played mostly well, missing a few games but was effective on the field and was by no means an obstacle.
In fact, many in the Broncos wanted the team to sign the player again.
However, after the administration of Vic Fangio left, the team signed a couple of players who could potentially play in the right selection, who are better suited for this scheme.
The team signed Tom Compton, a former 49er, and Billy Turner, a former Packer and Bronco. The Broncos have also brought back Calvin Anderson, who will definitely be able to fight for the starting position.
However, the Broncos seem to have three different options for the right selection at the moment, and they have hosted several offensive linemen in their top 30 visits before the NFL Draft.
Billy Turner this may be the most likely starter, but there is clearly some variability in this position.
Denver will need to make sure they get that right in 2022 and beyond as AFC West is loaded with great passes.
