This Ford Mustang wanted to go out to pasture like a real pony

Ford Mustang and demonstration go hand in hand, but alas accidents are not too far behind. Which brings us to this Mustang that just wanted to hit the pasture like a real pony.

As you can see in the short clip uploaded to Reddit, our intrepid Mustang driver decided to show off while making a left turn. It was as successful as you’d expect, as the driver slides the car and then makes a massive correction.

Although they are, of course not the first Mustang driver to make this mistake, they steered their car down an embankment to a grassy field on the side of the road. It may be a pristine place for horses to graze, but it’s no place for ponies.

Fortunately, our hapless Mustang driver was smart enough to notice and made a quick U-turn before climbing a small embankment with ease. The car seems to have escaped unscathed, but, unfortunately, the driver’s ego is shattered.

We don’t have to wait long until we see a new generation of Mustangs continuing that legacy redesigned model will be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show on September 14. Ford is keeping the car relatively tight-lipped, but future shows expect a sharper exterior, as well as a high-tech interior with better materials and a digital dashboard that flows into an all-new infotainment system.

The 2024 Mustang is also slated to have an upgraded engine lineup, so The Cars & Coffee crowd might want to keep their distance.
