When do roosters start crowing? A Parkton MD couple faces legal action over farm animal noise

PARKTON, Md. – A rural Maryland couple faces nearly $5,000 in fines for rooster crowing.

In August, the family received Wilbur. Ever since then, their neighbor has been complaining about Wilbur’s early morning awakenings.

So when they denied the request to get rid of Wilbur, the neighbor took his complaints to the county.

According to the county, the neighbor must provide evidence that Wilbur’s crowing is excessive noise. Both sides will head to court later this month.
