As a result of the Winston-Salem shooting one person was killed, police have launched an investigation into the murder
The Winston-Salem Police Department said a man had been killed several times on Friday afternoon. According to a press release, 27-year-old Tyrek Elliott died from injuries he received while shooting at Carver School Road. Officers said at 2:48 p.m. they were called to the 2100 Carver School Road quarter in connection with the shooting. Carver Road between Teresa Avenue and Tracy Street was closed for several hours so officers could conduct an investigation. Police said they were not actively looking for suspects in the shooting.
