WINSTON-SALEM, NC — Winston-Salem State University is on lockdown Wednesday night, according to university police.
Police are investigating reports of shots fired.
As of 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Winston-Salem State University police are telling people to stay inside the campus.
The university posted the following message on its website:
“The WSSU campus is currently closed. Please go inside the room until further information. Do not come onto campus if you are currently off campus.”
The Winston-Salem State University Police Department is partnering with the Winston-Salem Police Department.
